Liner Notes:
Pete Fountain is the essence of New Orleans - the cradle of Jazz. By the time he was 16, Fountain had already pined a reputation, but when Be-Bop and Rock & Roll were the hot new sounds, he struggled to maintain a career in jazz. Then in 1957, Lawrence Welk host of the nation's most popular television program, wanted Pete Fountain on the show During this time. Fountain became the most famous jazz musician on television, and New Orleans jazz made a comeback that has never faded.
